The player began his career at Chelsea in 1957 and spent four years with the Blues, scoring 41 goals in the 1960/16 First Division club record. His 37 goals in the 1962/63 season at Tottenham also remain a club record for 59 years. Greaves had a brief spell with Italian giants AC Milan Football club in 1961 and ended his career at West Ham at the age of 31.
Greaves had been battling illness for the past few years, after suffering a minor stroke in 2012, and it became a major disease five years ago.
