He also served the senior Men’s National Team as a scout. Gregg Berhalter, head coach of the USA Football World Cup team, said, we are happy to add a coach with the experience and skill that Lars provides. Any team at the World Cup needs to be strong in set pieces, and we are confident that Lars will help us improve even more on this front. Before joining the DBU, he worked as the first-team assistant coach at FC Midtjylland in the Danish Super League from 2016 to 2018.

Where he helped the side win the 2018 title. He worked at AaB for almost eight years in a variety of positions, including head coach of the reserve team, first-team scout, and head coach of the U-17 squad. Knudsen, a native of Aalborg, Denmark, has a master’s in applied philosophy as well as a UEFA Pro License. Knudsen declared, I’m thrilled and humbled to be a part of the USA Men’s National Team.

“When it comes to leadership and soccer ideals, Gregg and I seem to have a lot in common. It speaks a lot about our team’s skill and potential that we were able to qualify for the World Cup with such a young roster, and I’m eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.”

In September, the USA Men’s National Team will play its final exhibition matches before the Qatar Football World Cup against Saudi Arabia and Japan, two other World Cup finalists. Before departing for Qatar in November, the USA will have played four different World Cup opponents, including matches against Morocco and Uruguay.

Jesse Lingard and four other players Everton are tipped to sign after Richarlison’s departure

After Richarlison’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur was finalised, we looked at five players that Everton was rumoured to be interested in signing. Frank Lampard and director of football Kevin Thelwell continue to work behind the scenes to get ready for the transfer market this summer despite the grief surrounding the loss of Richarlison, a favourite of Everton, and the purchase of James Tarkowski.

The team will need to be resourceful because money is scarce at Goodison Park as Everton continues to handle the transfer to their future Bramley-Moore Dock home and deal with Financial Fair Play barometers. The Blues could have to make some concessions in some of their summer business because several marginal players are under contract and unlikely to be released because of their salaries.

However, they continue to be associated with several fresh faces and rumours of departures from the club. Who do the oddsmakers believe the Blues will sign, then? We looked into an odds checker to determine the five players that are most likely to transfer to Goodison Park.

Jesse Lingard 6/5

Everton is thinking about making a move for Jesse Lingard, as the ECHO reported on Friday. After leaving Manchester United, the 29-year-old is a free agent, and the ECHO is aware that negotiations have begun. It is not surprising that Lampard is the player Everton is most likely to recruit according to the bookies.

With odds of 6/5 given the probable acquisition of the 32-time England international on a free transfer and the low budget supposedly on offer for Lampard. West Ham United, where Lingard had a standout loan season in 2020–2021, is the favourite at 3/2 to sign the midfielder to a contract with them.

Harry Winks 2/1

Winks, another player whose attention Everton is known to have, is 2/1 to join the Toffees. The midfielder, who was shut out by Antonio Conte last season, is thought to be open to leaving Tottenham Hotspur and is eager to play more frequently again. Only nine of the midfielder’s 19 Premier League outings during the 2021–2022 season saw him start. To Know more about Football World Cup Tickets click here.

His final appearance came in a victory over Leeds United in February. Winks’ odds have climbed from when he was 1/4 to transfer to Goodison earlier this week, maybe because of Leeds and Southampton’s rumoured interest in the player.

Although his popularity has waned recently, the 26-year-old still has plenty of football left in him and maybe a very wise acquisition for Leeds, who need to replace Phillips. Many experts, notably former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson, believe that Winks possesses qualities that make him a unique player who has the potential to serve the England Football World Cup team once more at the international level.

Oleksandr Zinchenko 2/1

The 25-year-old, who has played on four championship teams, is reportedly planning to leave Manchester City this summer. Zinchenko, a natural midfielder who plays left-back for Pep Guardiola’s team, is eager to establish himself as a centre-midfielder in the Premier League after excelling in that position for Ukraine during their Football World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Wales in June.

As Lampard continues to try to reorganise the spine of his club, Everton is 2/1 to sign him. After Fabian Delph left the team and Donny van de Beek returned to Manchester United after the conclusion of his loan, there are also midfielder openings.

Dwight McNeil 4/1

The Blues continued to be associated with McNeil. Although Burnley was relegated and the winger had a dismal season with no goals and just one assist, he is still highly regarded. Since taking over at Turf Moor, Vincent Kompany has started to restructure his team, and the financial effects of Burnley’s leveraged acquisition by ALK Capital start to emerge.

McNeil barely 22 years old and with 134 games to his name, is one of the Clarets’ most marketable assets. To fill the gap caused by Richarlison’s departure, Lampard is searching for inventive wide players and the former Manchester United starlet is 4/1 to join the Toffees.

Conor Gallagher 9/2

Gallagher has been linked with Everton ever since his outstanding season at Crystal Palace, making him one of the most sought-after loan players in the Premier League this transfer window. The teenage midfielder is anticipated to spend preseason at his parent club Chelsea but, with the Football World Cup approaching and Gallagher having just recently joined the England squad.

He will be anxious to gain first-team football to increase his chances of playing in the Qatar Football World Cup. The odds for Everton to sign Gallagher are 9/2, but the odds for Newcastle United are 4/1. In addition, there’s a good chance he’ll stay at Stamford Bridge the following campaign as Thomas Tuchel attempts to develop the club under the new leadership of the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital group.
