Adidas HQ is supposed to have state of art facilities. Then these facilities were adorned by real artists today. The former midfield maestro swaggered his stuff with this pleasant turn. Still got it, eh!  You can see the delight on Mikel Arteta’s face as he turns Matt Smith, who is just below half his age.

Arsenal has occupied a strong squad to Germany which comprises new signing Gabriel Jesus, who was awestruck with this lovely strike. Then the Gunners have also taken five younger players to mix with the knowledge. Charlie Patino, Real Waters, Salah Oulad M’hand, and Lino Sousa are said to have toured with the first team.

Nurnberg is a German second division side and will confidently offer Arsenal more rivalry than Ipswich Town, who Arsenal posted 5-1 in their first preseason game.

You can watch the game on Arsenal’s website. Once Arsenal surfaces their time in Germany, they will move onto the United States (US) for a series of friendlies against acquainted opposition. They will face Everton in Baltimore on July 16th at the M&T Bank stadium. After this, the Gunners will take on MLS side Orlando Pirates FC on July 20th, taking on Chelsea three days later. Back in London, Arsenal will look onward to the reappearance of the Emirates Cup on July 30th which comprises Spanish side Sevilla.

Arsenal Since €7.5m Bid to Land Benfica Left-Back

Arsenal is ‘custody tabs’ on Benfica left-back Álex Grimaldo who could offer cover for Kieran Tierney. Some reports have optional the player could be obtainable for under £7 million. As pre-season gets underway, Arsenal can be content with the business they have finished so far.

They’ve tenable their marquee signing of Gabriel Jesus, which along with Eddie Nketiah’s contract renewal, addresses the striking department, the area in the squad most in need of reinforcement. Fabio Vieria represented a surprise deal for the Gunners, but one they clearly thought was too good to pass up.

Hopefully, his performances will pleasantly surprise Arsenal fans as much as his quick move to North London. Matt Turner also seems to be a solid option as a backup for Aaron Ramsdale. He also refused to sign the shirt of a Spurs fan, a spirit that will quickly endear him to Arsenal fans.

However, this doesn’t seem to be the end of Arsenal’s business. Next on the list appears to be a backup left-back. Kieran Tierney is a superb defender but lacks the longevity to play out an entire season. Particularly with the Europa League giving Arsenal more games to play this year.

Nuno Tavares impressed at times last year but was exposed defensively towards the end of the season. If Arsenal is going to make that next step to Champion’s League football, then depth is crucial.  Lisandro Martinez seems to have been Mikel Arteta’s preferred target for left-back, but facing firm competition from Manchester United, it appears Arsenal may be looking elsewhere.

According to the Portuguese newspaper, Record Arsenal is ‘keeping tabs on Benfica defender Álex Grimaldo. They are also suggesting Arsenal has already reached out to the player’s agent. The 26-year-old Spaniard has one year left on his contract and Benfica is said to be open to selling the player at a cut-price deal of below £7 million.

Grimaldo would add defensive solidity as a backup to Tierney but retain some of Tavares’ attacking prowess. In 247 appearances for Benfica, Grimaldo has 19 goals and 50 assists. If the potential deal for Lisandro Martinez continues to drag on, players like Grimaldo may become more attractive for Mikel Arteta who will want to have his squad sorted by the time Arsenal make their trip to Selhurst Park on August 5th.

Youri Tielemans Expecting Arsenal Switch

With lots of teams circling yet another Arsenal target, it has been said the club needs to act fast to secure the signing of a new central midfielder. Youri Tielemans has been a target for Arsenal throughout the summer transfer window, and it appears negotiations are set to intensify shortly. For more to know about Liverpool Vs Arsenal tickets click here.

Talk of the Belgian’s move to the Gunners had cooled in recent weeks but new reports say this is set to change. According to the well-esteemed Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal has always maintained their interest and the player is also keen on a move to North London.

Even though this particular saga has been quieter in recent weeks, Arsenal has never changed their interest in signing Youri Tielemans. The Belgian midfielder has always been on the list, but no official bid has been submitted so far.

From the player’s perspective, he still expects this move, but Arsenal will have to be quick as other clubs have been inquiring about Tielemans in the last few days. The midfielder is also in the final year of his contract and will therefore be available at a reduced price.

This would represent a cheaper-than-usual opportunity to add to Arsenal’s midfield where signings are very much needed. The players’ interest in joining the club will also come as a major boost to Mikel Arteta as he looks to compete with other clubs for the 25-year-old. With the North London side already battling with Manchester United for the signing of Lisandro Martinez, Edu and Co. won’t want to be embroiled in multiple sagas at once.

Arsenal has also been linked to Lille winger Edon Zhegrova. It is still unclear whether the Belgian will end up in North London, but the signing of Tielemans would see Arsenal add a more advanced central midfielder to their ranks which the club has missed in recent years.

Following the exciting arrivals of Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, Arsenal fans will be encouraged by the club’s desire to keep hunting in the transfer market. According to journalist Arlind Sadiku, Arsenal has submitted an official offer for Edon Zhegrova. Sadiku claims the Kosovan winger has impressed Arsenal this year, since his move from FC Basel in January.

Zhegrova is not a name that a lot of Arsenal fans will have heard of. The 23-year-old moved to Lille in January, finishing the second half of the season with two goals and one assist in 12 Ligue 1 appearances but just four starts. The winger is left-footed and plays primarily plays on the right-wing. Given Arsenal’s previous links to Raphinha and desire to provide competition and rotation for Bukayo Saka, this target lines up.
