Football World Cup: We let the chance to beat Germany, says Enrique

Luis Enrique, the head coach of Spain stated his disappointment over his team’s wasted opportunity to beat four-time Qatar Football World Cup winners Germany after the team played a 1-1 draw in contradiction of them. There was an odd feeling in the changing room because we had the chance to beat Germany and we let it slip over our hands and that was a shame, said Luis Enrique to a news consultation as quoted by ESPN.

However, Enrique took consonance in the statistic that the team had managed to top their group which is been denoted as the Group of Death due to the presence of four remarkable football sides in Spain, Germany, Japan, and Costa Rica.

But we have to reflect that we are at the top of the so-called Group of Death and we have to break positive, specified the head coach. While he stated that a draw against Japan in the next willing will see his team advance, the side will look to play with full power and try to win, safeguarding them the top finish in the group.

Spain was principal with Alvaro Morata’s goal until the 82nd minute and was almost at the point of their second win in the event before Niclas Fullkrug twisted up to score for Germany, helping the four-time winners avoid the embarrassment of successive losses.

Earlier, Japan had beaten Germany 2-1, causing a huge upset but the Asian side lost their second competition to Costa Rica on Sunday. They are positioned in the second spot in Group E with three points under their girdle. Costa Rica is third in the group while Germany discovers itself at the bottom, still looking for its first win in the event.

Luis Enrique wants Sergio Busquets to play another Football World Cup

Spain boss Luis Enrique on Sunday said he would like midfielder Sergio Busquets to play in additional FIFA Football World Cup. After Spain took a lead over an Alvaro Morota goal in the 62nd minute, Germany wealthy one blow after another on Spain’s defense in quest of a goal. Although Germany eventually achieved an equalizer in the 83rd minute, when Niclas Fullkrug recorded, the Spanish midfield, led by 34-year-old Bosquets, and protection headed by 33-year-old Jordi Alba kept the German violence in check.

Enrique said Jordi Alba is a top performer, as is Busquets. Some people get weary of older players, but these guys are still astonishing. I do not bring these guys here to have amusement. Jordi is the best wing-back in the final third and still protects so well. People have been annoyed to retire Busquets for years but I want to persuade him to play another Qatar World Cup. Spain now wants only a draw in its final game in contradiction of Japan on December 2 to develop to the knockout round as the first-positioned side in its group.

Alvaro Morata competitions Torres’s achievement after Spain and Germany’s Football World Cup draw

Spain star Alvaro Morata scored as his side sketched 1-1 with Germany in their Qatar Football World Cup clash on Sunday.

Alvaro Morata has come to be the fifth player to score in his first two Qatar Football World Cup arrivals for Spain matching Fernando Torres in the procedure. The Atletico Madrid striker came off the worktable to net against Germany on Sunday. However, it wasn’t sufficient to earn his side a draw with Niclas Fullkrug attaching the 2010 winners back to earn his side a draw.

Alvaro Morata stakes David Villa’s statement

There’s arguably no striker in the whole of the Football World Cup who attracts more criticism than Morata. He’s had quite a profession, in concert for Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Chelsea at many stages while never really relaxing at any one club.

But Morata has shaped when it matters and, when Spain plays with a real striker at the tip of their attack, they look so much more intimidating. The last time La Roja won the Football World Cup, in 2010, was because they had David Villa at the tip of their spell with the previous Barcelona, Valencia, and Atletico Madrid star scoring five goals in that event.

More first-team equals were hard to come by; nevertheless, he finished his Barcelona occupation, having been introduced only 13 times. Injury-hit invocations at Lazio, Real Betis, Numancia, and Gimnastic were disastrous to catch fire things – and he ended up opening his career in Holland with Go Into the future Eagles in 2012 at just 32. Costa Rica Beat Japan to Hand Germany FIFA World Cup Lifeline

Costa Rica shocked Japan 1-0 thanks to a late goal at the Qatar Football World Cup on Sunday to blow Group E wide open and hand a possible lifeline to Germany. Japan, who shocked four-time winners Germany 2-1 in their opener in Qatar Football World Cup, could have taken a huge stride towards the last 16 with a win.

Instead, they were difficult for large parts of the match in contradiction of a Costa Rica side who were beaten 7-0 by Spain, then defender Keyser Fuller scored in the 81st minute with a bounced strike. It was Costa Rica’s first shot on board at this Qatar Football World Cup and could be of huge advantage to the Germans.

The result went to Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica all on three points. Spain looks at Germany later Sunday in another crucial competition. Japan made five vicissitudes to the team which shocked Germany in their opening competition as coach Hajime Moriyasu made full use of his 26-man team.

At a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit) at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Japan instantaneously went on the attack and won an angle within 30 seconds to signal its determination.

Japan brought back to earth by its loss to Costa Rica

Costa Rica has put an enormous dent in Japan’s hopes of reaching the Football World Cup last 16, rebounding from their 7-0 beating by Spain to claim a surprise 1-0 victory in Group E. The door was open for Japan to seal their residence in the knockout round, after their historic initial win over Germany on the same day as Costa Rica’s failure.

But Keyser Fuller’s twisting 81st-minute effort – Costa Rica’s first shot on target in the event astounded Japan and put their hopes of development in peril. When Fuller’s left-footer tiptoed into the top of the net, although Japan keeper Shuichi Gonda’s doomed try to keep it out, Costa Rica’s players and fans exploded in delirium.

Jaded Japan seeks to slay another Football World Cup giant in Spain’s decider

Japan coach Hajime Moriyasu trusts his team still has a shot at the last 16 of the Football World Cup and can even beat former winners Spain, despite their dismal 1-0 loss to a Costa Rica side that let in seven goals in their opening competition.

The four-time Asian winners, who stunned Germany with a 2-1 success in their Group E opener, spurned a faultless chance to advance to the next phase on Sunday with competition remaining, yielding late on to a team that scored with their first shot target of the Qatar Football World Cup.

Japan looked sluggish, stationary, and out of ideas on how to wear out a Costa Rica side that went for a rigid back five to avert more goal hemorrhaging. Moriyasu seemed unenthusiastic to utilize his glut of aggressive options on his bench.

I don’t think it was a total fault from us, he told a news meeting. Against Spain, we are going for victory and that’s what we want to focus on. The next match contrary to Spain will be a very penetrating game. We need to recover the odds for Japan.

Celtic star Daizen Maeda was released for Costa Rica’s defeat but Japan boss Moriyasu has no doubts

JAPAN boss Hajime Moriyasu maintains he has no regrets over plummeting Celtic star Daizen Maeda for the loss to Costa Rica. The Hoops hitman was left out of the preliminary XI who crashed to a 1-0 defeat although helping the Samurai Blue to a famous 2-1 win over Germany in their initial game.

Japan face Spain in their final group competition on Thursday and Moriyasu reckons he was right to make five variations due to the intensity of the competitions. I have no regrets about the income of players. The result may be evil, so it may be seen by a third gathering that what we did was ruthless.

However, the match in contradiction of Germany and the competition against Costa Rica were high-intensity games. They responded well to variations in the system and put up a fight that would rise their probability of winning. Spain is a strong team, but I originally supposed that they would advance through the first league through three competitions.

These days Japan can take a great stage toward reaching the knockout rounds by beating Group E opponents Costa Rica on Sunday. The Samurai Blue will go into the clash as favorites as Spain demolished the Central American side 7-0 on Wednesday a complete triumph that closely threatened to overshadow Japan’s heroics. Gavi talks Pedri, Pele, Luis Enrique, Busquets, Koke, Jordi Alba

The previous few months have been amazingly kind to Gavi. The Barcelona star was awarded the Kopa Trophy by France Football for the Best U-21 player and then tracked it up with the prestigious Golden Boy award. Following an impressive time with Barcelona, Gavi has been called up to the Spanish national squad for the 2022 Football World Cup in Qatar. Not only that, but he is the opening-choice central midfielder for Luis Enrique alongside Pedri.

His opening game was completed with a goal and assist, next which he was considered the official Man of the game. Conversation to following Spain’s unbelievable 7-0 victory over Costa Rica, Gavi talked about his union with Pedri, among other things. “Pedri is an excellent friend and we apply a lot of time together off the pitch and that is the return on the pitch. He is an amazing player and makes the whole thing easier for you,” he said, as quoted by SPORT.

Pedri and Gavi are the 2 youngest players in the national squad setup, but they also have some of the most recognized players in European football, including captain and Football World Cup-winning midfielder Sergio Busquets. Gavi talks about their significance in the dressing room, saying, “The atmosphere within the dressing room is good. Busquets, Alba, and Koke always give us some guidance.

Luis Enrique was disliked for calling up Gavi and completed the keen on of Fabian Ruiz and Thiago Alcantara. The teenager has then refunded his faith, though, and was also verbally thankful to the former Barcelona manager. “I’m very grateful to Luis Enrique for trusting in me, he gave me assurance and helped me to grow. But I still have room to recover and I have to work hard on that.”

Gavi grow into the youngest player to score in the FIFA World Cup in the meantime Pele’s brace against Sweden in June 1958 (17 years and 249 days) was questioned about that as well. “It’s impressive that my name seems with Pele, but I’m clear that the significant thing is to help the squad win the Football World Cup.” “Our plan against Germany will be similar to against Costa Rica. We are a squad with a great plan and give the whole thing on the field regardless of the opponent,” Gavi concluded.

At 19 and 18 years old respectively, Pedri and Gavi’s combined age is not that much greater than their midfield partner Sergio Busquets. Their youthful excitement in the middle of the park, going along with their obvious technical capacities, could be a real asset for Spain in Qatar. In a match that was wrapped up in the initial half, Spain showed why they’re one of the additional fancied squads in this Football World Cup despite not having a clinical finisher. However, by spreading the goals out in this one, they verified that that doesn’t necessarily have to be a weakness.

Goals from Gavi, Torres, Asensio, Olmo, Soler, and Morata verified there’s additional than one way to rack up a big score and manager Luis Enrique will be delighted with what he saw. Soler puts Spain six to the good after Navas spills a cross into the middle of the box. The keeper looks very dissatisfied with himself, but there’s not much he could have done currently.

Football World Cup: Germany plays the blame game after defeating Japan

With one delightful first touch, one lightning turn of pace, and one fantastic swipe of his right foot, Takuma Asano set off a controlled surge to electrify this Qatar Football World Cup. At a stroke, Japan’s bench emptied, the alternates and support staff all charging down the touchline to overwhelm their bleach-blond striker as he curved the advertising hoardings, lost in the fever of it all. Germany’s punch-drunk players could only appear bewildered, their standing for ruthlessness emphatically debunked.

Ludicrous was how Thomas Muller, appearing at his fourth Football World Cup, described this defeat. It was as if Germany, once near-impregnable at this event and chasing their fifth title, never even understood that they could lose. They had better trust it now. Throughout a breakneck second half, Japan was faster, sharper, and brighter than their complacent adversaries, with Ritsu Doan’s goal invigorating their self-belief and Asano applying the remarkable coup de grace.

The scenes at the final whistle took multitudes. Serge Gnabry lay face-down on the lawn while German supporters wore thousand-yard stares. In the center ring, Hajime Moriyasu, the Japanese boss who changed the course of this willing with his inspired substitutions, gathered his crowds together for one last blood-pumping language. While the stage became Japan’s to overcome, the four-time champions challenged the possibility of a second conventional group-stage exit, perhaps even the likelihood.

Germany’s rivalry could be over as soon as Sunday, should they yield to Spain. That dire view did not take long to breed dissent in the ranks. Ilkay Gundogan, the Manchester City midfielder, gave a stimulating post-match meeting in which he accused his teammates of lacking starvation for the fight. You detected that he had Niklas Süle, who played Asano legal en route to Japan’s champion, highest in his mind.

We made it too informal for them, particularly with the second goal, Gundogan mourned. I don’t know if a more relaxed goal was ever scored at a Qatar Football World Cup. There was a lack of belief. We relied too much on long balls and misplaced the short ones we played too quickly. You felt that not everyone required the ball.

Japan shows how to feed a closed mouth notoriously on Day 4 of the Qatar Football World Cup

A total of 11 goals were scored across four competitions, an average of 2.75 goals per game. Day 2 rests the most creative and entertaining, with four goals per willing on average. While fewer goals are recorded each day on average, day four delivered the most significant win and defeat so far and a second successive shock of the tournament. Let’s excavation into the Pulse of The Day, which comes from Group E, where all the drama occurred on Day 4.

Japan took benefit of Germany’s arrogance and complacency in the FIFA Football World Cup match

Legendary footballer Wayne Rooney calculated that Germany was satisfied and arrogant, leading to their ruin in the FIFA Football World Cup match in contradiction of Japan on Wednesday, November 23.

At the Khalifa International Ground, the 2014 winners slumped to a 1-2 defeat at the pointer of the Asian team. Rooney said that Germany released their guard during the match’s second half and tried to show off.

Yeah, I didn’t see that consequence coming. In the second half, good play to Japan. They stayed in the game and were continually a threat on the break. I think it fair before they scored the first goal when you have ‘X’ players speaking about teams or players getting satisfied, Rooney said during a protest on Sports18 and JioCinema.

I think there were instants when the ball went down to challenge, and you get complacent, arrogant, and showing off a little bit, and then you lost your concentration. Maybe that’s what occurred to Germany, and Japan is a very humble nation. They benefited from that and, in the end, deserved the success.

Japan come from behind to stun Germany in the Qatar Football World Cup opener

Japan scored two late goals to record a 2-1 success over four-time world winners Germany in their initial Qatar Football World Cup match on Wednesday afternoon. Ilkay Gundogan’s 33rd-minute penalty saw Germany principal in the Group E contest. Still, Japan turned it about in the second half, leveling finished Ritsu Doan in the 75th minute before Takuma Asano attained it eight minutes later.

Germany, who was removed in the group stage of the 2018 Football World Cup, will be bidding to spring back when they take on Spain on Sunday, while Japan is following in accomplishment in contrast to Costa Rica on the same day.

Japan had the ball in the back of the German net in the eighth minute of the competition when Daizen Maeda appointed home from close range, but the offside flag was raised correctly. Disorderly work from Gundogan in the middle of the square had seen Japan break clear, and a bright cross from Junya Ito was rehabilitated. Still, he was ahead of the final defender.

Manuel Neuer with Violently Honest Message to Germany after Shock Defeat to Japan

Germany’s expert goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has come out to question his fellow player after succumbing to a loss to Japan on Wednesday, November 23. The Germans were overwhelming preferences going into the Group E clatter, and they were observed to be on course for a win after Ilkay Gundogan’s first-half penalty.

But Japan ended up upsetting the odds as several substitutions for the Samurai Blue ended up being the vital moment of the game. It was first Ritsu Doan who dragged a goal back in the 75th minute for Japan before previous Arsenal man Takuma Asano finished the comeback eight minutes later, departure Germany at the brink of a group stage removal for a second successive event.

Impressive Spain put seven past Costa Rica in the Qatar Football World Cup opener

Spain has progressed to the top of Group E courtesy of a 7-0 win over Costa Rica in their opening match of the Qatar Football World Cup on Wednesday evening.

Japan shocked Germany in the earlier willingness in the group, recording a 2-1 win, to move to the top of the segment, but they have now been substituted by La Roja, who proved far too strong for Costa Rica.

Ferran Torres netted a double during a maximum performance, while Dani Olmo, Gavi, Carlos Soler, Marco Asensio, and Alvaro Morata were also on the scoresheet for the 2010 world winners. Spain had a brilliant fortunate to make the advance in the fifth minute when Olmo met a bottomless cross from Pedri, but the assailant volleyed just extensive of the far post. Enrique’s side was granted a penalty in the 29th minute of the competition when Alba was transported to the ground by Oscar Duarte, who could not fight challenging the Barcelona protector.

Torres was the player to step onward, and he made it 3-0 by sending Navas the incorrect way from the spot, with Costa Rica consuming the competition taken away from them previously after the first half.

Spain 7-0 Costa Rica: Ferran Torres scores double as Luis Enrique’s side makes a rampant start

Spain expired top of Group E with a 7-0 demolition of Costa Rica at Al Thumama Ground; Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres (2), Marco Asensio, Gavi, Carlos Soler, and Alvaro Morata were on the mark; Luis Enrique’s side had 82 percent of the control.

Spain began their Qatar Football World Cup campaign with a display of total supremacy as they thrashed Costa Rica 7-0 to deliver an early statement about their event credentials. Kick-off originated only hours after Japan had dragged off a 2-1 win over Germany in the other willing in Group E. Still, there was never any probability of another disappointment at Al Thumama Stadium, with Luis Enrique’s side in complete control from the beginning.

Dani Olmo (11) and Marco Asensio (21) tot up their first two goals, with previous Manchester City forward Ferran Torres toting the third from the penalty advertisement (31), then achieving his second of the night with a soft finish quickly after half-time (54).

Gavi scored Spain’s fifth goal with a first-time appearance from Alvaro Morata’s cross that collided inside the post to become the third fledgling scorer in the tourney’s history at 18 years and 110 days. It’s the best of my imagination. I never imagined this, said Gavi. I’m pleased to be attaining this.

Spain scored SEVEN as Germany stunned

Tournament colossi Spain emphasized their credentials with a 7-0 destruction over Costa Rica, while fellow beloveds Germany was stunned by Japan as their great protest became the talk of the Qatar Football World Cup. Japan Football Team Preview, schedule, and roster for the Qatar Football World Cup

Before the Football World Cup in Qatar, Sports Mole looks at how likely it is that Asia’s best hope, Japan, will be there for the seventh time in a row. Now that they are regulars at the Football World Cup, Japan is going into their seventh straight finals with quiet confidence and a young, exciting team that might be better than the one that came so close to making the quarterfinals in Russia four years ago.

They also have a bit more stability going into this tournament. The Japanese FA fired manager Vahid Halilhodzic just a few weeks before the 2018 finals. Their current coach, Hajime Moriyasu, has been with this team for four years, taking over for Akira Nishino, who was in charge temporarily in Russia. But if there’s one thing that should be said about the Japanese national team, they should never be taken lightly. Belgium can attest to this since they were among the last teams to beat them in the World Cup.

GROUP

Japan is Asia’s most-liked team because they have made it to the knockout rounds in three of the last five World Cups. However, even the most optimistic Samurai Blue fan will admit that they have much to do to get out of Group E this year.

Spain and Germany are in Japan’s group, two of the last three World Cup winners. If Japan wants to repeat what it did four years ago, it must pull off one or two huge upsets. Costa Rica is their other Group E opponent, but they are much weaker than the team that shocked the world in 2014. Japan will hope to get three points from that game to keep their chances alive going into the final game.

FIXTURES

  • Germany plays Japan on November 23. (1 pm, Khalifa International Stadium, Doha).
  • Japan takes on Costa Rica on November 27. (10am, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan).
  • Spain plays Japan on December 1. (7 pm, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Rayyan).

HOW THEY QUALIFIED

Japan breezed through both rounds of AFC qualifying with ease. In the first round, they were put in a group with Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Myanmar, all of which are small countries. In 2021, covid restrictions in Asia meant that many of their away games were still played in Japan. This was done to avoid travelling too much, so Japan usually had the advantage of playing at home.

Japan Vs Spain Tickets | Qatar Football World Cup Tickets | Football World Cup Tickets|

The Samurai Blue never had a problem moving forward. They won all eight games and scored 46 goals, including crushing wins over Mongolia (14-0) and Myanmar (10-0). In the next phase, the pressure will be higher because only two automatic qualifying spots are left. They will have to compete with Saudi Arabia, Australia, Oman, China, and Vietnam for one.

Even though they lost their first game at home to Oman and their third game in Saudi Arabia, Japan quickly qualified for the finals by winning six of their last seven games. This was helped because Australia didn’t do as well in qualifying.

RECENT FORM

Aside from a 1-1 draw with Vietnam after they had already qualified, Japan made it to Qatar in style by winning five games without losing. In friendlies over the summer, they beat Paraguay 4-1 in a strong performance and only just lost to a full-strength Brazil team, which is the favourite to win the World Cup.

The Kirin Cup, which used to be held in Japan every year, came back after a six-year break, and Moriyasu’s team had mixed results. Another 4-1 win, this time against Ghana, gave them more confidence, but a 3-0 loss to Tunisia in Suita quickly brought them back down to earth.

In September’s internationals, though, they were back to being solid on defence. They won against the USA and tied with Ecuador thanks to two clean sheets in a row. No other team came close to scoring as many goals as Japan did in their 18 qualifying games. Japan should be the most exciting Asian team to watch in Qatar.

SQUAD

Eiji Kawashima (Strasbourg), Shuichi Gonda (Shimizu S-Pulse), and Daniel Schmidt are the team’s goalkeepers (Sint-Truidense)

Defenders: include Ko Itakura (Borussia Monchengladbach), Yuto Nagatomo (Tokyo FC), Maya Yoshida (Schalke 04), Hiroki Sakai (Urawa Red Diamonds), Shogo Taniguchi (Kawasaki Frontale), Miki Yamane (Kawasaki Frontale), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal), and Hiroki Ito (Stuttgart)

Midfielders: Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton & Hove Albion), Ritsu Doan (Freiburg), Ao Tanaka (Fortuna Dusseldorf), Junya Ito (Reims), Takumi Minamino (Monaco), Hidemasa Morita (Sporting Lisbon), Wataru Endo (Stuttgart), Daichi Kamada (Eintracht Frankfurt), Yuki Soma (N (Real Sociedad)

Forwards: Shuto Machino, Takuma Asano, Daizen Maeda, and Ayase Ueda are the forwards for Bochum (Shonan Bellmare).

TAKUMI MINAMINO – STAR PLAYER

Takumi Minamino is now in his ninth season of European club football. Since he left Red Bull Salzburg for Liverpool in 2020, he has had a rough patch, but the skilled attacker, who always had a good eye for goals while he was in England, is still an essential part of the Japanese national team.

During qualifying, he scored 10 goals in 15 games, which put him near the top of the charts. Even though he didn’t play much in the Premier League at Anfield, Minamino scored seven goals as Liverpool won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup last season.

Minamino usually plays on the wing for his country, but he is more of a goal-scorer than a playmaker. He leaves the playmaking to players like Daichi Kamada, Takefusa Kubo, and Junya Ito. The Monaco player may need to step up in front of the goal again after regular starter Yuya Osako was left out of their 26-man squad.

Even though Kamada won the Europa League in 2021-22, this young team doesn’t have much big-game experience. His experience in the Champions League and Europa League should help when Japan plays Germany and Spain, and the fact that he has played in many big games could be significant.

MANAGER – HAJIME MORIYASU

Hajime Moriyasu used to be a member of the Japanese national team. He has worked his way up through the ranks and now has the chance to show off his skills on the biggest stage in the world. During his five years in the J League with Sanfrecce Hiroshima, he won three titles and led the Japanese champions to a third-place finish at the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup held in Japan. However, the team’s performance started to go downhill, and he left the club in 2017.
